Ray Preziosi's career as an Emmy-nominated Director of Photography spans a diverse body of work from feature films, to nationally televised documentaries, streaming series, and short films.
Collaborating with the iconic duo, Sol and Elaine Bass, Ray shot feature film title sequences for Casino, directed by Martin Scorsese, and A River Runs Through It, directed by Robert Redford. Some of Ray's feature film credits include Italian Movie, Topsy and Bunker, Frog and Wombat, and the Victorian-era period piece, Family Secrets.
In addition to shooting feature films, Ray received an Emmy nomination for his work on the nationally televised, 2-part PBS documentary, NY TV by the People Who Made It. Some of the other nationally televised documentaries include the 2-part, Music of Ireland series and the mini-series, FS Key, After the Song, both for PBS, as well as Concorde Alpha-Delta: An Intrepid Journey, for the History Channel.
Along with numerous short films, Ray is the Director of Photography on Ride With Us, a streaming series for volunteer fire service recruitment.
Several times a year, Ray teaches a 35mm cinematography workshop as an adjunct instructor at the New York Film Academy.
When not on set, Ray responds to emergency fire calls as a volunteer firefighter at the Rosendale NY Fire Department, in his hometown, and has served his fire district as a publicly elected Fire Commissioner.
